The blog Curvy life had a great post the other day about the TV programme ‘How to look good naked’. I will let you go and read her blog for the details. But one line I really liked, while watching it, was when Carson Kressley (who is great in it by the way) says “Size 0 is not a dress size, its a warning sign’. I laughed so hard. Yet it is probably very very true. Thoughts anyone?
Also this 31 Day Exercise Challenge isn’t exactly taking off like I hoped (see below). Come on everybody dont be shy!

Well, yeah, seeing as how there’s maybe 1% of all women who can actually naturally fit that size without dieting/starving and exercising hours a day. So if you’re not naturally a size 0, and you’re battling your body to get there, I would say that could be a warning sign of severe body dysmorphia, and possibly an eating disorder. It’s definitely buying into the media’s insistence that only “thin” is healthy/sexy/smart/beautiful/worthy of respect/etc/etc/etc. Which is a crock, as far as I’m concerned. I much prefer to see a wide variety of body types/sizes in the world, much less boring that way.
I have yet to meat a “natural” size 0…I have one friend who is naturally VERY small but even she has to diet/starve to fit into a size 0 (which she usually does for modeling gigs). I’m not saying they don’t exist, I’m just saying I haven’t met one yet! Which makes me wonder how “natural” it really is to be such a small size?
Exactly! I think that it was so cool when he had all types of woman walking next to him at the start of the show. They were all confident and had attitude. It was awesome and it looked just as sexy and glam (if not a little more so).
beyond true.
even in these days o’vanity sizing.
I am a true natural size 0, I can still wear kids clothing, I am 42 years old and have had 3 children, yes gave birth. I am 5′1, short and sassy. I get compliments and negative reactions from people. NO i did not starve myself, I love to eat, which in turn pisses people off as well. You are SKINNY, is actually an insult, I don’t go around saying you are FAT. So please don’t comment on our weight, we don’t comment on yours, it is RUDE. I cannot just walk into a store and buy stuff, I have certain clothing stores I can buy from, but I must try on everything I buy to make sure it fits, because 1 size 0 is not cut the same as the other size 0
